FRO.blinds is a family run and owned curtain and blind shop based in Wellington. We opened our showroom in Market Street in November 2021 with the Support of a £7000 grant from the Pride in the High Street scheme from Telford & Wrekin Council.

Originally focusing on selling made-to-measure blinds, we quickly expanded into a wider range of soft furnishings, including curtains, roman blinds and cushions and shutters.

As the business grew, we realised that we could reduce costs and lead times by making the blinds ourselves, so in September 2022 we opened our own manufacturing unit at Trench Lock.

In February 2023, we were delighted to be awarded with a further grant of £4000 from the Pride in the High Street scheme to allow us to expand our product range even further and appeal to a wider customer base. This additional funding has allowed us to modify the layout in the shop and invest in launching a range of ready-made curtains, which when coupled with our manufacturing unit has allowed us to launch an exclusive “ready-made-to-measure” service – offering made to measure curtains at prices closer to those of ready-mades.

We work with all the leading names in blinds and soft furnishings, including PT, iLiv, Ashley Wilde, Laura Ashley, Orla Kiely and many more.

We’ve been overwhelmed by the support of the local community since we opened, and look forward to many more years of dressing windows in Telford!
